Sometimes the hardest part of taking part in “anything” is getting started. Over the years I have seen people who were genuinely interested and excited about learning how to be a beekeeper without ever experiencing the practical acts of managing honeybees.

I have heard of and known some people initially excited to get into beekeeping. Taking classes in classroom sessions or online instruction, reading literature regarding the hobby, buying equipment and supplies and ordering from commercial producers only to find out that the excitement and interest disappears, because; "scroll over pics"

Swarm Removal

In many cases, swarm Removal may not be necessary. If a swarm of honeybees appear on personal or public property it is usually a "lay over" rest while scout bees look for a permanent home. Keep in mind, before bees leave there hive to swarm, they gorge themselves with honey anticipating a lengthy journey. This means they may not be able to curl their abdomen into the stinging position. They also do not have a "home" to defend. This just means the time when bees are least likely to sting is during a swarm.

When a swarm appears, (sometimes looking like a football hanging on a branch or in a bush) and is a nuisance, it can be easily removed.

Text me at 413-374-5756 as soon as the swarm is noticed.
